The United States Federal Government has created programs that help small businesses create competitive advantage. Since the late 1980s, the Federal Government has been creating programs to help small business create competitive advantage.
There are currently three primary categories of set-aside procurement opportunities:
1 - Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a)
2 - Service Disabled Veteran Owned (SDVO)
3 - Historically Underutilized Business (HUBZONE)
